Shaheen Afridi secures 10th spot in latest ICC T20I player rankings

  • Afridi jumps up four spots after getting 2/21 in T20I against Australia. 
  • Australia's Hazlewood drops to number three, England's Adil gets on second.
  • Babar stays on top of the batter's rankings while Rizwan gets on third.
According to The News, Pakistani bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ranked number 10 in the 2018 International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I Player Rankings for his outstanding performance in the one-off T20I during the Pakistan-Australia series in Lahore.

After getting 2/21 in the T20I against Australia, Afridi moved up to fourth place.

Josh Hazlewood of Australia, who did not play in the game, fell to third place on the rankings, while England's Adil Rashid moved up to second. Tabraiz Shamsi of South Africa is still in first place.

Babar Azam, the ICC Men's Player of the Month for March, remained at the top of the batters' rankings, but Mohammad Rizwan, the ICC Men's T20I Player of the Year 2021, fell to third.
Babar made 66 runs off 46 balls, including six fours and two sixes, while Rizwan made 23 runs off 19 balls, including a four and a six. Pakistan was defeated by three wickets in the match.

Aiden Markram of South Africa is ranked second among batters.

Following the conclusion of the series between South Africa and Bangladesh, there was some movement in the Test player rankings as well.

Keshav Maharaj, who shined with the bat and the ball in the last game and was named Player of the Match and Player of the Series, climbed to 21st place among bowlers and 13th place among all-rounders.
Simon Harmer, a fellow spinner, climbed 26 places to number 54 in the bowlers rankings. With 13 wickets, the off-spinner was only second to Maharaj in the series in terms of wicket-taking (16).
